The lightning system
Glattoboy is an action adventure game that is inspired by the classic retrogames like Metroid, Castlevania, Zelda etc. But we know that we are living in 2016 and we want to add more to the formula.
We thought about what we can add to our game to make it stand out. We have a lot of ideas - a big ass wishlist with features, request and visions that we want to see in an action-adventure game like Glattoboy. In the future we will tell you more and more about the game, the story, the characters, the world, music, sound and all the good stuff that makes Glattoboy the game we want. It's a long journey but we strongly believe it is worth it. Disclaimer: This is not a fully fleshed-out development blogpost, we want to keep our blog entries short and informative.

How does it work? The answer in a nutshell:
To make a sprite react to a dynamic lightsource, we use a technique from the 3D World: Bump mapping.
And that's basically it :)
